Infinite Jest

So with the government threatening to throw Laureano Márquez in jail for the crime of writing that the government is dictatorial, in fact, dictatorial enough to throw a writer in jail merely for writing that the government is dictatorial, in fact, dictatorial enough to throw a writer in jail for writing that the government is dictatorial, in fact...the thing I find myself wondering is: couldn't this sort of thing create an infinite-irony-loop that compromises the fabric of the space-time continuum and causes reality to collapse in on itself?

How selective do you want to be?

As long as the space time continuum loop ...

... resurrects the great David Foster Wallace, it's all good.

Quico / Juan:

I will epost this commnt hat I sent sevral hours ago:

Internet Censorship by Venezuelan Government was suggested today by Antonio Pasquali in Marta's Colominas radio interview at 90.3 FM.

Antonio Pasquali suggested to look with Google for NGO's about this topic.

Here is one:

ONI News: Internet Censorship: http://bit.ly/d67HbR

Any other good sites that could be added ?

We have been inside an apparent endless loop

for quite some time. We are just getting into an internal loop
that is calling this function and these parameters at a very fast pace:

t_pause = 0;/// this was changed by Venezuelans themselves

for (int i = 0 ; int < 365 ; i++)
{
fucking_up(government,&petrodollars,&venezuelan_population);
pause(t_pause);
}

The whole system is going to cause total destruction unless we as users do something in the following line and the answer is true

if ( think(opposition_leaders) && act(opposition_leaders,opposition,&ninis)))
{
screw_them(&government);
exit 0;
}

Funny -

I've seen that site. Also, speaking of "Who's on Twitter", check out http://twitter.com/HugoChavez_Vzla. I started following that account yesterday, and much to my surprise, I got the following in my email this morning:
Hugo Chavez Frias (HugoChavez_Vzla) is now following your tweets on Twitter.
A little information about Hugo Chavez Frias:

1837 followers
199 tweets
following 450 people

It's hard to say whether or not he/it's the real thing, but certainly is interesting!

Facebook -

I checked out el Aissami's FB page, and found a link to this:

Evidence Not Necessary

"We have no definite evidence, but all clues point to the fact that the two blackouts occurred in the ninth inning of the games that took place in the José Bernardo Pérez baseball park, in the city of Valencia, with a crowded stadium, were sabotage, particularly the power blackout occurred in the last game in Valencia (Friday, January 29)," Chávez said. (El Universal)

Coming soon:

It will rain.
The electricity crisis will continue.
A new conspiracy theory will be promoted: sabotage at the Guri dam! The Venezuela-hating opposition, in league with the CIA!

   Juan Cristobal

More evidence that chavistas aren't normal

If there's a drought, it's El Ni~no's fault, but if it rains, it's because I bombed the clouds.
If there's a blackout, it's sabotage, but if there isn't one, it's because I've done a good job.
It bears repeating: only somebody with serious issues can continue to support this charade.

El Niño?!

No no no, you are supposed to call it COPE now.

Absurd even for Chavistas

Apparently even the mere suggestion that Chávez might one day not be president now counts as treason.

Does Chávez see himself as Eternal President, Kim-Il Sung style?

Absurd?

Absurd is such a relative term.

They will take anything. A friend I trust told me she saw in some slum in the Caracas some posters of Hugo with - I kid you not - a halo over his head.

I would not be surprised. I have seen a riding on the same horse as Bolivar, I took some pictures of two posters at the Ipostel office with two letters and two pictures: one by Bolivar and the other a letter by Chávez.

Let's face it: a nation that idiolizes a Bolívar in such a pathetic, irrational way (no comparison with anything else, not even Atatürk) and where a third of all municipalities are called after some military who made themselves "the heroes" after the Independence, was ripe for this personality cult.

Try to find something similar in South America. There isn't.
Perón was peanuts compared to this.

Through the Looking Glass

No question the dog is chasing the tail, or is the tail following the dog?

That's like Venezuela taking over the UN's New and/or Restored Democracy Movement.

Oh wait,

http://www.noticias24.com/actualidad/noticia/142147/

Well, no surprises left after all.
