Eleven years, stuck in the same place...

...and everyday is exactly the same weird, warped reality as the day before, and nothing you do matters...

Yup, it's February 2nd...Happy Groundhog Day, everybody!

How selective do you want to be?

Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes...

Guess why there are no

Guess why there are no classes today?
Yep... megalomaniac day.

   Kepler

El Tank, I just read on VTV

that there are classes. Although I don't usually believe VTV about anything, earthquakes included: is this not just one of those typical "Venezuelans when in doubt stay at home or go to the beach"?

Quico:
Priceless quote.

I know there are no

I know there are no classes... atleast at USM and a couple others...

A crisis foreseen, but not averted

I do have to give Hugo some props for his prophetic ability: "aunque lloviesen petrodólares y mucho dinero, igual sería como un alivio momentáneo, pero igual nos seguiríamos hundiendo un poco más allá". Pretty much sums up his tenure. Only problem is that "un poco" should be "mucho".

losing touch

Chavez is supposed to be a political genius.

Here's what he should have done today: cancel the celebration. Say that this is a time for hard work, not for partying.

But he's lost touch with the struggles Venezuelans face every day.

Miss a chance to celebrate himself? Why, the people deserve this celebration of his wonderful-ness.

There's no doubt that the guy started with a boatload of political talent. But he's in the bubble now.
