Habermassive
It’s tempting to file Antanas Mockus’s remarkable rise in the polls in Colombia under "too good to be true" – cross referenced with "can’t possibly last." Everything about him appeals to me, which is another way of saying "unelectable in Latin America". The guy’s a hippy-nerd, not to mention a self-confessed Habermasian – by all rights, he should be a no-hoper.
And yet opinion polls now have him tied with Santos in the first round and actually winning a hypothetical second round head-to-head with him for Palacio Nariño! Plop!
Now that would be interesting.
