Another Ad, Don't Vote!
The best ad of the season, so far, is this Don’t Vote! ad, pa que cojan mínimo los abstencionistas.
http://www.youtube.com/v/CA5IPFSDVcs?fs=1&hl=en_US The ad was put out by the intriguing Defiende Tu Vote (Defend your Vote) NGO, which has a ton of celebrity endorsements and seems to be making a pretty serious effort to sign up witnesses willing to go to places that haven’t had them before. I have no idea who these people are, but I’ll try to find out. (If you know, enlighten me in comments.) Tactically, the ad is purely an attempt to mobilize the opposition base: there’s no pitch to fence-sitters here at all. As I’ve argued before, I think that’s wise: we don’t have the resources to win over fence-sitters, we just need them to, literally, not vote.
