The most suspicious thing about the supposed IVAD poll showing Hugo Chávez beating all opponents by 20+ points, and enjoying popularity ratings in the (stratospheric) seventies?

The only people citing this clear outlier in the polls are José Vicente Rangel, Prensa Latina, Correo del Orinoco, Agencia Venezolana de Noticias, and Radio Nacional de Venezuela. All of them mouthpieces for the rrrégimen. None of them credible.

If you have the slides for this very fishy poll, please send my way and I will gladly post them.

Update: GTAvex provides a useful link to political scientist Ricardo Sucre’s web page, which contains a bunch of polls. The IVAD slides are not there. Apparently IVAD never releases its polls or its sampling information, so that’s that.
