The Dreadful Case of Víctor Hugo Quero | El Feed

He was forcibly disappeared in January 2025. His 82-year-old mother searched for him, never knowing where Maduro agents took him. In October, the Ombudsman’s Office told Navas his son was held at El Rodeo prison. On Thursday, May 8th, the Prisons Ministry confirmed that Quero had died in July 2025.

Carmen Navas denounced the State’s silence over her son’s disappearance three months ago. “I have to do this for my son because no one else will. In the 14 times I’ve gone to El Rodeo, they haven’t let me see him once.” By then, Quero had already been dead for seven months.
