La Caída #FacebookDown
This episode of Pueblo People dives into the deepest questions of Life, the Universe, and Everything: What would a world without Facebook look like? What if Twitter went down? Can we imagine a non-dystopian future for social media?
This week the world had a small taste of the old unplug-a-roo. In this episode, Oswaldo Graziani and Raúl Stolk discussed the role that Facebook plays in content distribution, as well as the latest information leak shedding light on the company’s treatment of research showing how the algorithm is hurting teenagers. Among other things, they also went over the end of NYT’s Spanish opinion section and media funding (btw, they just launched a patreon with exclusive episodes and a cool community). Also, they have a new Twitch channel, that you can follow here if you’re into that kind of stuff.
