Two post-electoral detainees dead in Tocuyito prison
Jesús Álvarez (44) was arrested in El Callao, Bolívar state, alongside his wife, Anny Suárez, on August 2.
Álvarez died on Thursday, December 12, in Tocuyito. Anny Suárez (38) remains imprisoned in a GNB facility in Puerto Ordaz.
Within 72 hours, another death was reported at Tocuyito prison, marking the third in the post-electoral context.
Osgual González (43) died on Monday after the state failed to give him timely medical attention, the Venezuelan Prison Observatory reported. He was arrested alongside his 19-year-old son Oswald in Lara, on August 1.
The regime released Oswald and ten other political prisoners on December 17.
